How Did Techin Really Die?

The death of Techin resulted from the very scheme he devised going out of hand. Fed up with the stubbornness of Mek to let go of the factory fire investigation case, Techin tricked him into going to his residence on the pretext of explaining the reason for Ang’s sudden break-up with him. What he actually intended to do was manipulate Mek, who was then sucked into an even bigger scheme involving Nay Oo, a name that is shrouded in mystery. According to him, Nay Oo knows the truth regarding the death of an individual on the exclusive boat ride organised by the rich and powerful people, who included Ang.

In this case, Techin attempted to kill Nay Oo and made sure Mek was put in such a position that he would be blamed for the crime. Although Mek made efforts to stop the attack even when he had a panic attack, Techin did not stop until he accomplished what he intended to do. In the meantime, when Techin was busy with the attack on Nay Oo, Nay Oo resisted, and out of her fear, she killed him using a golf club. She then left the crime scene, which provided the exact evidence that would make Techin’s scheme come true. As a result, Mek, who was trying to achieve justice, ended up being suspected of murdering Techin.

Why Did Jittri Decide to Defend Mek?

At first, it seemed strange that Jittri was choosing to defend Mek. Jittri was a notorious lawyer who often defended her clients using every legal trick she could find, regardless of whether it suited the case or not. This made her very successful; however, Mek had completely different ideas regarding what constitutes justice. His principles were those of fairness and honesty, something that clashed greatly with the ones that Jittri held onto.

Jittri’s obsession with the case was not limited to Mek alone; in fact, for many years before this, she had been trying to exact her vengeance on Police General Anan, who was behind the false accusations and persecution of her father that ultimately led to his death. As a woman unable to take on such powerful people head-on, she spent years networking, gathering information, and getting close to individuals within the grey areas of the law, only to find herself presented with the perfect chance.

From the events depicted throughout the tale, it is evident that all the unrelated cases handled by Jittri were all pieces in a big puzzle. She deliberately gathered witnesses, experts, and people who would one day help unmask corruption. It was thus not only because she really loved Mek that she decided to defend him; it was equally out of the understanding that his case was her golden opportunity to deal with the corrupt individual who had ruined her own life and that of her entire family.

How Did Jittri Prove Mek’s Innocence and What Was the Court’s Final Verdict?

The courtroom fight was the hardest part of the entire story since there seemed to be too much evidence against Mek. Techin was dead, and it seemed that Mek had committed the murder himself. In addition, he had been seen at the place where the murder took place, and his finances were connected to the prosecutor. However, despite all the efforts of Jittri, who could have proven the real truth, the most significant evidence that Nay Oo was absent.

Aware that a simple defence would not work, Mek and Jittri resorted to an unusual defence strategy. Rather than claiming complete innocence, Mek chose to portray himself as the victim. In his defence, he confessed to certain activities that rendered him untrustworthy but denied ever having murdered anyone. In his version of what transpired, he was caught up in the schemes of Techin and the whole cover-up concerning the boat party event. But Nay Oo was the one who delivered the mortal blow while protecting herself from attack.

The effect was that the trial went in an entirely different direction than intended. If the prosecution had attempted to portray it simply as a case of murder, it would have been difficult for them since this would necessitate them ignoring the fact that Nay Oo and the conspiracy were already known facts. The boat party cover-up, the corrupt police force, and Anan’s participation raised too many doubts. In the end, there was still much about Techin’s death that went unexplained.

As there were no grounds for proving the existence of any doubts in Mek’s guilt, the prosecution’s case crumbled, and Mek was found not guilty and acquitted of all charges. Yet, at what price? In order to live through the trial, Mek was compelled to give up on the ideals which used to characterise him. Thus, although he did save his life in court, he started to wonder whether he lost something even more important along the way.

Who Was Kosol and What Happened to Anan at the End of The Evil Lawyer?

The end of The Evil Lawyer shows that Anan is not actually the puppeteer who orchestrated all the occurrences throughout the whole story. He was simply one of the most influential characters within this story because he was actually working for someone else who was even more evil than himself. This character’s name was Kosol, and he was feared by everyone as an underworld kingpin who had influence over the political system, police, and even the courts. Even when in prison, Kosol still ruled over everyone, using them as pawns in his plan.

After Mek’s victory in court, both he and Jittri are called into a meeting that at first looks like one with Anan but turns out to be an audience with Kosol. It soon becomes clear just how helpless Anan now is. Rather than asking for aid, Anan is merely waiting for Kosol’s verdict. Coolly, Kosol pronounces Anan to be more of a threat than ever before and orders his murder. One of Kosol’s henchmen shoots Anan and makes it look like a suicide.

This discovery becomes all the more shocking since Kosol turns out to be the murderer of Mek’s mother many years ago. Now, the conflict has become far bigger than the death of Techin and everything going on in court. It is clear to Mek now that he finally faces the man who ruined his life, and to Jittri, it has become apparent that her vengeance toward Anan has been snatched away by somebody higher up.

Will There Be The Evil Lawyer Season 2?

At this moment, Netflix has not yet released any news about season 2 of The Evil Lawyer. Nonetheless, it is quite obvious that the creators left some room for further continuation.
