With every week coming and going, this program is giving us the butterflies and reason to cry at the same time, as it is an emotional roller coaster and it just makes, us wait for EXchange Season 4 Episode 6 Release Date even more when we see the preview suggests that we are in for the week of raw emotions, jealousy, and beautiful bombshells.
With the previous episode lifting the veil on the complicated past between Baek-hyun and Hyeon-ji, fans are left wondering how the truth is going to come to light next. Directed by Kim In-ha, 환승연애 시즌4 features Yura, Simon D, Lee Yong-jin and Kim Ye-won as hosts and panellists, once again working through the complicated web of relationship dynamics inside the villa.
EXchange Season 4 Episode 5 Recap
Episode 5 of Transit Love Season 4 kicked off with the unexpected appearance of SEVENTEEN member Mingyu and S.COUPS, and the two became the special guests for the panel. Their response naturally brought along the lighter atmosphere, with the latter proclaiming that COUPS is a believer of the “Team Reunion” individual, and Mingyu admits that at times, too, he is too emotionally attached to the couples.
The episode continued exactly from where Episode 4 left us, the climactic moment when the ex-girlfriend of Baek-hyun would be introduced. The flashback took us to a week prior to the move-in at the house, to a warm restaurant at Seongsu-dong, where Baek-hyun happened to run into his ex-girlfriend, Park Hyeon-ji. The two went out with each other from December 2018 to December 2020, when they first met at an event with common friends. Initially, Hyeon-ji regarded him only as a young acquaintance, but warm gestures, for instance, walking her home securely when that was the first time spent together watching a movie, captured her heart and drew the two nearer to each other.
When Baek-hyun served his military time, the commitment came through with the handwritten letter each day, even though Hyeon-ji wasn’t always able to respond. When he got medically discharged for a leg injury, however, the relationship started to head in the wrong direction. He ended up sitting at home all day, her going through her active schedule, and jealousy, miscommunications, and nagging arguments over the smallest things were the end result. What initially started with the romance-filled affair gradually became a string of emotional wounds, and eventually, the breakup.
In the “time room”, the dials showed how differently each of them felt toward each other now. Baek-hyun placed it at 12, that is, he wanted to move further toward the future and not rekindle the flame with the past, whereas Hyeon-ji placed it at 6, hovering precisely mid-way between keeping and releasing.
Back in the present, the atmosphere became denser with tension. At game night, Hyeon-ji felt uneasy to behold the increasing closeness between Baek-hyun and Yun-nyeong. Though she excused herself early, looking pale, Baek-hyun’s unobtrusive concern for her, and the admission that he felt “more at ease when she was not in the house, seemed to suggest that the feelings were not entirely extinguished.
Hyeon-ji tried to speak with Yoo-sik, too, but it did not come easily with Baek-hyun hovering. But then, some other time, Baek-hyun observed that Yoo-sik was being nice to Hyeon-ji, carrying the bag, searching for her slippers, and professed to find it more infuriating than he expected.
Elsewhere, Ji-hyeon felt a little insecure, afraid that Hyeon-ji could very well be Yoo-sik’s ex-girlfriend, given how the two interacted with each other. Meanwhile, Ji-yeon is having an open conversation with Won-kyu, in she wants to know everyone, but she is really happy spending time with him, a soft, nice confession.
When the night reached its end, Baek-hyun was seen reading an ex’s letter and silently cried, revealing how much he is obviously still in love with her despite all the moving on claims.
The following day, Hyeon-ji informed Min-kyung that she had gone out with Yoo-sik before going inside the home, although she explained that she didn’t pick him. Min-kyung appeared stunned, maybe even asking herself if perhaps Yoo-sik picked her. After some time, Min-kyung took Yoo-sik aside to discuss matters with him, showing concern regarding how sick and sleep-deprived he had become. She reminded him of how he tended to fall asleep at cafés even when the two were going steady, and the atmosphere became awkward.
When she asked him if it was absolutely fine with him to go ahead, Yoo-sik found that he was at a loss for words. Tears expressed all the other emotions that words were unable to, and he and the audience were equally split emotionally.
EXchange Season 4 Episode 6 Preview
Transit Love Season 4 Episode 6 preview promises that the emotional equilibrium in the living space is set to change once again. The letter comes with the assignment that all the participants must disclose actual jobs, something that is certain to shake up settled dynamics and generate some fresh energy amongst the participants.
At the same time, Hyeon-ji becomes increasingly jealous of the deepening relationship between Yun-nyeong and Baek-hyun. In the living room, Hyeon-ji confesses that she is particularly interested in the “ex introduction,” to which Baek-hyun humorously denies ever tossing his ex’s letter in the dumpster, something we are certain is a falsehood, as we witnessed him reading it and bawling about it last night. His denial is apparently a form of defence, perhaps to conceal the fact that, to this day, he is still attached or to bother Hyeon-ji.
Elsewhere, the strain between Ji-hyeon and Yoo-sik continues, and Min-kyung’s frozen unease is likely to propel her toward a confrontation with her feelings. When jealousy, pride, and unspoken love crash headlong, Episode 6 is set to deliver awkward candour and warmhearted admissions, the sort that makes Transit Love Season 4 an absolute necessity for anyone convinced that, now and then, the heart can find its way back when least anticipated.
