Why Did Ga Sung-ho Hire Kim Yeong-ran, and What Was Her Mission?

The employment of Yeong-ran by Ga Sung-ho from the outset was not protection; it was a question of revenge. He had already been diagnosed with a terminal illness, and as death drew ever closer, he wanted to be reassured that those responsible for the death of his daughter, Ye-rim, would be punished-especially Seon-yeong. Her brutal honesty in her interview impressed him; she was unafraid of the truth and unafraid of him. Seizing the moment, he saw her resilience and knew she was an outsider who would be perfect to infiltrate the family and to destroy their greed inside out.

Her mission was simple but morally complex: play the role of his wife, become the lightning rod for the family’s hatred, and when the time came, end his life as part of a euthanasia agreement. But as they grow closer, Sung-ho’s motivations crystallise: it’s not just revenge; he wants redemption through Yeong-ran. Thus, making her his heir would mean that someone pure of heart inherits his empire, and the rot in his family would be exposed. What began as cruel manipulation morphed into one final act of justice-a means to use his death to reveal the truth about Ye-rim’s murder and Seon-yeong’s crimes.

How Did Seon-woo Die?

Ms Incognito kdrama episode 10 had the tragic ending of Seon-woo, who struggled with his conscience throughout the story, torn between sisterly love and guilt regarding his father’s death. He was the weakest link in this dark chain of lies that kept the Ga family intact. When he finally got hold of evidence proving Seon-yeong killed Ye-rim, he attempted to bargain with that for his freedom. Unfortunately, Seon-yeong hired Ho-se, a professional hitman, to eliminate him before a word could be said.

At the port meeting arranged under false pretences, Seon-woo handed over evidence to Yeong-ran, only to be ambushed by Ho-se. A violent fight ensues, and Seon-woo is shot to death. The dying wish of Seon-woo was for Yeong-ran to complete what he failed at. The scene wasn’t just crucial; it was symbolic of the generational curse of the Ga family, wherein greed consumed blood ties. Though overwhelming, his death became the last push that set Yeong-ran against Seon-yeong once and for all, leading up to the explosive finale that follows.

What Happened to Ga Sung-ho at the End of Ms Incognito?

Deliberately, he enrages Seon-yeong in Ms Incognito episode 12 at the mansion, speaking as if with his daughter Ye-rim, who is already dead. He accuses Seon-yeong of being pitiful and cruel, a daughter poisoned by greed.

The violence escalated in the confrontation. In a fit of rage, Seon-yeong stabbed Sung-ho multiple times and confessed to the murder of Ye-rim. His death, as grotesque as it was, managed to expose Seon-yeong’s sins in public. In his last act, Sung-ho did what he had wanted in the first place: justice for Ye-rim, and destruction of Seon-yeong’s sham empire.

As the video played on, the entire board watched Seon-yeong confess to killing her sister and father. The police arrested Seon-yeong on the spot, and in trial, further evidence—Seon-woo’s hidden files sealed her fate.
