My Dearest Assassin Ending Explained
Why Were People Hunting Lhan in My Dearest Assassin?
The reason Lhan was being hunted was due to the fact that she had the blood of Aurum, which was considered the rarest kind of blood in the whole world. It has been shown in the movie that the CEO of a company was using his power and money to get transfusions from people having the same blood type as him to stay alive. Due to a lack of matching donors, he was ready to take any action to get hold of the person with Aurum blood. They did not see other humans as human beings but as raw materials. This is why they sent hunters to several countries to trace such people.
But the peril associated with Lhan did not only hinge on the CEO’s existence; it also represented power, money, and authority within a corrupt society where the elite could prey on the disadvantaged to ensure their own survival. The Hunter was quite aware of all this, which was why he was so fixated on tracking her down since losing her many years ago. He was not motivated by any personal vendetta against her at first but simply saw her as a worthy target who had a monetary value. However, with each passing day, the hunt grew increasingly personal due to his numerous confrontations with House 89.

Why Did Po Rescue Lhan and Bring Her to House 89?
In the beginning, Po seemed like Lhan’s saviour, for it was only in his timely arrival that he could save her from the Hunter and his gang. Lhan automatically trusted Po because he assumed that Po was there to shield her from people who wanted to kidnap her. She was then introduced into the world of House 89, where she lived among Pran and M. Throughout many years, Lhan never realised that these assassins took her in only out of compassion.
However, later on in the novel, the situation with regard to Po’s motivations turns out to be far more complex. Although Po did indeed have Lhan’s best interests at heart when trying to protect her, there was another reason for him doing this, one which was just as relevant from the very start. The point is that Po’s son Pran also possessed the rare Aurum blood type. As donors of this blood type were few and far between, Po saw Lhan as an invaluable potential source of blood in case of some tragedy befalling Pran one day.

This truth alters Lhan’s opinion about people whom she trusted. Po had protected her from an evil world outside, even though his actions were not all noble; every single decision that he made revolved around his love for Pran and ended up with him introducing her to House 89. However, the movie does not cast him as an outright villain either. He truly took care of her by raising her, kept her safe, and even gave his life to save everybody in the end of the House 89 assault. This ambiguity and duality are what make Po tragic; he was both her guardian and a thief.
What Happened to Pran and M at the End of My Dearest Assassin?
The ending of the My Dearest Assassin movie turns out to be a heart-wrenching one since both Pran and M have sacrificed themselves for the purpose of guaranteeing that Lhan will survive. As soon as the House 89 finishes off its final attack on the Hunter and the Mala gang, the trio manages to get away. They think the horror is over for them; however, they encounter yet another challenge as Chaba survives the attack and attacks them while they run away. In the process, Lhan gets hit and starts bleeding profusely. The closest hospital was too far away, and time was not on their side anymore. Thus, Pran understood that an emergency blood transfusion from himself was necessary.

Pran deliberately lets more blood out of his body than he should, because saving Lhan is more important to him than saving his own life. The scene is very moving due to the fact that it turns the vicious cycle that created them upside down. Lhan had been nothing more than a source of blood for Pran early on in the movie, but at the end of it all, she receives the gift of her life due to his unconditional love for her. Even when Pran gets weaker, he still carries on giving blood in order to save her life.
On the other hand, M holds his position so that Chaba cannot get to the vehicle while Pran finishes the transfusion process. Although badly hurt, M keeps on fighting since he gave his life to Pran to safeguard Lhan. It becomes a fight to the death between M and Chaba as they stab each other several times until they collapse. However, M kills Chaba, bringing an end to the danger from the Mala gang once and for all. Unfortunately, the injuries also take M’s life, leaving him dead in the process.

What Does the Ending of My Dearest Assassin Really Mean?
My Dearest Assassin ends with themes of liberation, self-sacrifice, and the breaking of a vicious circle of exploitation. For all of her years, Lhan was valued only by her bloodline and used as such. Initially, the hunters sought to utilise her blood to preserve the life of a rich individual, and House 89 viewed her bloodline as security for Pran. Even though she experienced happiness within House 89 and had a lot of friends there, she continued to live in secrecy due to her bloodline status. However, at the end of the narrative, Lhan decides to control her fate. The death of Pran, M, and the others marks the high cost of freedom.
At the end of the My Dearest Assassin film, it becomes clear that Lhan finally goes back to Vietnam and brings up her son, who is very likely to be the offspring of Pran. Furthermore, her son was also born with the unusual Aurum blood type, which clearly indicates that the threat to her family has not been completely eliminated. However, unlike the other grown-ups who dominated her during her childhood, Lhan does not want to confine her son within the cage of fear. She teaches him how to fight and provides him with the life that she herself was never able to lead.

This point is further reinforced by the mid-credits scene of My Dearest Assassin, where Lhan manages to kill the Hunter herself. She was once terrorised by him after her parents were killed by him, but here she confronts him with confidence and assurance since she has now been trained as an assassin. By stabbing him with his knife, she is effectively ending the nightmare that started with her parents’ murder. It becomes clear from this that Lhan is no longer the innocent little girl who was once hunted by everybody. She has grown up enough to take care of herself and her son, while also remembering Pran, M, and House 89.
