K-Dramas Like Siren’s Kiss: As the 세이렌 series draws near to its conclusion, viewers’ excitement builds along with the suspense in the dynamic performances of Park Min-young and Wi Ha-joon, who portray Seol-ah and Woo-seok. It’s not a sweet romantic relationship in this drama; it’s full of mystery and suspense because the main characters’ connection is rooted in doubt and suffering.
In other words, something is exciting about following the story lines of the romantic couples that may suddenly crumble into pieces. That suspense creates an atmosphere of intrigue, where every look and glance may hide something deeper, and the characters’ emotional barriers can come down unexpectedly. Of course, this may lead to more drama than expected, but that’s part of the reason why it’s so appealing.
(Who said that dramas should focus on peaceful love stories, when we clearly live for the chaos?) If you enjoy romantic relationships filled with a little bit of drama and suspense, then watch these K-dramas similar to Siren’s Kiss mentioned below.
K-Dramas Like Siren’s Kiss With Intense Romantic Tension
The Witch
Roh Jeong-eui’s Park Mi-jeong is a woman haunted by fear, solitude, and an identity which has been assigned to her despite being outside her control—the witch. Similarly, Seol-ah is a tragic victim of fate, or something even more evil than that. Lee Dong-jin, played by Park Jin-young, emerges from the background as a figure much like Woo-seok, who wishes to find the truth behind everything that happened around him, but this time, the search takes place through personal conviction rather than professional duties. He seeks not only truth but also evidence that will make Mi-jeong lose the negative image society has built for her.
The reason why The Witch works well alongside Siren’s Kiss is the tension created by perception and beliefs. As much as Seol-ah can be perceived as a potential criminal, Mi-jeong is also regarded as a curse that walks around, despite the reality. Both series use romantic uncertainty as a foundation, whether she is really evil or misunderstood. In turn, the men find themselves falling for these women despite all odds, as though they are drawn toward her despite all indications that they should be running away from her.
Secret Love
Kang Yoo-jung, played by Hwang Jung-eum, is blamed for the actions of her lover and thus loses all that she has to face a life of pain and vengeance. Similar to Seol-ah, she is regarded as a “criminal woman,” whose acts can never be explained in a way that society accepts without any misinterpretations. The male protagonist, played by Ji Sung, Cho Min-hyuk, starts hating her from the very beginning and desires to take his vengeance on her.
It is also very similar to Siren’s Kiss because of the emotional change. Yoo-jung and Seol-ah are two strong females who have been traumatised, compelled to suffer through agony while being held responsible for all the bad things that happen. Furthermore, in both cases, the male protagonist’s evolution starts from distrust to emotional commitment, thus forming an intimate relationship based on conflict.

Flower of Evil
Flower of Evil revolves around the mysterious and evil personality of Baek Hee-sung, played by Lee Joon-gi, who hides behind a disturbing history. His investigative and suspicious wife, Ji Won, played by Moon Chae-won, is not aware that she has been investigating her own husband in the process of solving cases. Unlike Seol-ah and Woo-seok, whose relationship blossoms out of secret keeping and suspicion, this drama has its central characters in the same state.
Why does this come across as similar drama to Siren’s Kiss? The answer is that there is always a struggle between love and honesty. While Woo-seok battles his desire to believe Seol-ah and his instinct to out her, Ji-won finds herself questioning all she once held to be true.
The Smile Has Left Your Eyes
Seo In-guk’s Kim Moo-young is the definition of unsettling charm, and yes, that’s the best way to describe him: an unnerving combination of charm, brokenness, manipulation, and outright threat. The relationship between him and Yoo Jin-kang (Jung So-min) develops in that same suffocating pattern, when attraction mixes with a constant sense of fear. It’s all the suspense that Siren’s Kiss creates through Seol-ah.
It hits you just right because of the element of uncertainty. Just as Woo-seok is attracted to her regardless of all the warning signs, so is Jin-kang. Just as Seol-ah keeps the reader guessing, so does Moo-young. This is not one of those romances where you feel comfortable.

Mistress
The story revolves around four women who are caught up in murder mysteries that won’t let them sleep in peace. One such character who has been implicated in the death of another character, and hence becomes both a victim and suspect simultaneously, is that of Jang Se-yeon, played by Han Ga-in, just like Seol-ah in Siren’s Kiss.
The story seems quite similar since it always seems to mix up guilt and innocence. Similar to Seol-ah, the female characters in this work seem to be quite complex emotionally and even hide information from people who are close to them.
