The drama dealing with the ex-couples has become so tangled that it is now one of the hottest discussion topics among viewers. With emotions running high, the EXchange Season 4 Episode 18 preview does not fail to add more fuel to the fire. As the end approaches, each episode feels heavier and more emotional. In the meantime, the boys get together, and Lee Jae-hyeong directly asks Yoo-sik how he feels about Min-kyung, given that everybody knows she has already admitted that she still has feelings for him.
The conversation deepens when Seung-yong questions Yoo-sik for the real reason behind their breakup, asking whether marriage played a major role. Yoo-sik says that marriage was indeed one of the reasons. Won-kyu pushes him further, wondering if Yoo-sik’s feelings would change were Min-kyung to say she understood his concerns. It feels like a crucial moment, finally getting a sense of what Yoo-sik wants.
Transit Love Season 4 Episode 18 will also reveal the breakdown of Min-kyung again. This time, she confronts Yoo-sik directly with questions of marriage. EXchange Season 4 Episode 17 Recap
Episode 17 of EXchange Season 4 begins with special guests CODE KUNST and Loco before returning to the world of the housemates. Yun-nyeong wakes up early to get ready for three planned dates. Her roommate, Min-kyung, also wakes up, and the two have something important to talk about. Min-kyung says she’s bothered by how snappy she’s been with Yoo-sik and regrets exposing this vulnerable side of herself, yet feels powerless to stop. Tears well up again.
Later, Min-kyung and Won-kyu go on their Pick-a-Date, and the age difference between them is just casually discussed as fun, along with the fact that the situation has changed since the exes were revealed. Min-kyung expresses to Won-kyu that it is hard for her to be around Ji-hyeon, his ex, as she knows that Ji-hyeon had feelings for Yoo-sik. During the date, she also discloses that her feelings for Yoo-sik are still very strong. The date of Yun-nyeong and Yoo-sik progresses, and we see Yoo-sik wearing the couple ring that he made with Hyeon-ji. And when Yun-nyeong queries about his feelings, his response hints that he is quite sure about the girl he loves.
One of the most poignant scenes in the EXchange Season 4 Episode 17 occurs when Min-kyung, after her date, comes and finds Yoo-sik on the couch in the living room area, sleeping. Overcome with feelings, she silently sits next to him, then sweetly covers him with a blanket and departs. The moment illustrates the extent to which she is still very attached to him.
Hyeon-ji and Jae-hyeong visit an aquarium for their Pick-a-Date and experience a calm and meaningful moment together. Following that, Hyeon-ji and Yoo-sik have a conversation wherein Yoo-sik inquires why Hyeon-ji has not texted Baek-hyun. Hyeon-ji replies that sending messages to Baek-hyun was hard for her emotionally, and she admits that she has developed a stronger liking for Yoo-sik now.
Ji-hyeon and Seung-yong have a nice time on their date, but she feels something is off and that he is not really interested in her. Seung-yong goes home and directly tells Hyeon-ji that he wants to get back together and put his effort into the process.
Yun-nyeong and Baek-hyun’s date feels more serious, perhaps because the misunderstandings were ironed out with Hyeon-ji the previous night. He even mentions that if Hyeon-ji weren’t in the picture, Yun-nyeong could be an ideal match.
After everyone comes back, Yun-nyeong tells Min-kyung about Yoo-sik’s couple ring with Hyeon-ji. Upon hearing this, she is extremely angry and decides to confront Yoo-sik. She says that she is so disappointed and asks where she has been in his life when they dated for eight years, and he refused a couple of accessories with her, but now wears a ring with someone he met two weeks ago. She breaks down again, and when she learns Yoo-sik intends to go on another date with Hyeon-ji outside of the official schedule, her anger grows.
Min-kyung voices how it feels unfair that the next woman in his life gets the version of him she once begged for. While she openly expressed her desire to reunite, Yoo-sik confesses he does not want to get back “100%.” Without giving her the clear answer she desperately needs, this makes things all the more painful.
The communication flow in Transit Love Season 4 Episode 17 has also pointed to a possible turn of events for the two former couples. The ex-partners Won-kyu and Ji-hyeon, through their sweet and quick-reply messages, indicated that perhaps the emotional gates between them were being opened. In the same way, the texts from Woo-jin and Ji-yeon served as a reminder of their shared baggage. The chats of the former lovers were filled with comfort and tenderness—especially Ji-yeon’s reply to Woo-jin—that their bond is not completely lost yet. Besides the messages, Seung-yong was still the one talking to Hyeon-ji and expressing his love for her. He was brave enough to say that maybe he was not as handsome as Yoo-sik, but surely he could provide her with the security and the care she desired since he was the one who wanted to marry young. His words came across as serious and very down-to-earth, making his intentions toward Hyeon-ji clear with no ambiguity.
