BTS Jin’s Solo Comeback in May has been officially confirmed, and fans all over are going crazy. The BTS member, who recently took six months off from music, is set to release a new album of his own next month.
Kim Seokjin, who finished his military service last year, has also been very active ever since. He didn’t take any time off and went straight to work. Just non-stop with music/variety shows/even guest appearances in other programs/etc. This comeback speaks volumes about how serious he is about his work and how much love he has for his fans.
His last solo album, Happy, was released in November and smiled up a lot of faces. Songs such as “Running Wild” and the love duet “Heart On the Window” featuring Wendy from Red Velvet, quickly jumped to the top of my song preference list. That album was well-received domestically and abroad. The song even became one of the leading songs on many of the music charts and landed him a position last year as top solo singers.

Seokjin’s not only working in music. He has also broken through in other places. He was named a global ambassador for Gucci and even a torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics. In addition, he features in numerous brand commercials and has a variety show, Run Seok Jin, which airs every Tuesday on BTS’s YouTube channel, BANGTANTV.

More recently, he was featured in a Netflix show, Kian’s Bizarre B&B, which began streaming on April 8. The show soon found a wide audience. Fans were loving the glimpse of his funny and warm side, a reminder of how down-to-earth he really is. Despite all of this, he’s still finding time to work on new music. His next album will further cement his solo artist career in 2025. After fellow BTS member J-Hope dropped his singles in March and began his solo tour, fans are excited to see other BTS members return to music, slowly but surely.
What makes this comeback even more exciting is the fact that 2025 is already being called BTS’s year, and this comeback just heightens our excitement level. In under two months, all the members will have completed their military service.
