Siren’s Kiss Ending Explained
Who Paek Jun-beom Really Was?
There was much more to Paek Jun-beom than what we really understood. In actuality, this suave, calculating individual was not Paek Jun-beom at all, but rather Su-ho—once the lover of Seol-ah—and the man had received a new face because of an allegedly fatal experience that had occurred when he was in Seriya. In doing so, the true personality of the character comes out as he is revealed to be an obsessed individual and no longer a mere business associate but someone from Seol-ah’s past who had been secretly following her.
His motives, however, went way beyond mere revenge. Su-ho, also known as Jun-beom, seems to have been motivated by a sick combination of obsessions, need for control, and psychological instability. The young man felt that it was Seol-ah who led to his downfall, and he aimed at psychologically destroying her, not just punishing her physically. His constant stalking of her movements, manipulation of events around her, makes it seem like he wants her to be in constant fear, make her feel guilty, and be trapped in an endless circle of dependence on him emotionally. Far from behaving in a way that indicates that he seeks justice, he appears to be struggling to maintain his emotional superiority over her.

Was Han Seol-ah Able to Successfully Expose Chairwoman Kim’s Crimes?
Yes, Seol-ah does manage to expose Chairwoman Kim (Sun-ae), but her triumph comes with its share of complications. Having gathered sufficient evidence, Seol-ah even manages to record the items inside the secret vault that were actually forged and stolen artworks. However, it was in a high-profile auction that Seol-ah decided to make her move, announcing before a wide audience what Chairwoman Kim had been doing all along. She managed to earn money from forgery and stealing the real pieces.
It is successful in an immediate manner since the police come and apprehend the Chairwoman on the basis of the information that has been presented by Seol-ah. It marks a crucial point where Seol-ah proves that she was not a victim but rather someone who was able to fight back smartly. But unfortunately, the success remains short-lived because the Chairwoman manages to avoid facing any severe repercussions by getting herself released on bail. This event ends up taking a dangerous course because the Chairwoman is eventually murdered.

Who Was the Real Killer in Siren Kiss Kdrama?
In Siren’s Kiss Episode 12, we see that Do Eun-hyuk was the actual murderer responsible for all the deaths. He was there all along as the Best Friend of Seol-ah, who was always there to protect her. The shock factor lies in the fact that he was never seen as a possible murderer but rather as the person supporting Seol-ah. However, behind his loyalty was a perverted mindset that only he was capable of protecting her, no matter what it took.
In the case of Eun-hyuk, he committed murder against many people, including Seol-ah’s lovers, such as Seung-jae and Su-ho, as well as Yoon-ji and Chairwoman Kim. Every act of murder had its justification from Eun-hyuk’s point of view. He killed Seung-jae due to his betrayal, regarded Su-ho as harmful to Seol-ah, got rid of Yoon-ji for knowing about his plans, and finally took the life of Chairwoman Kim as she tried to manipulate Seol-ah into submission.

Eun-hyuk uncovers the entire truth only when he confronts Woo-seok and puts a gun to his head. Following knocking him out and tying him to a chair, Eun-hyuk sits calmly and proceeds to explain himself and all his killings and why it seems to him that Woo-seok should also meet this destiny of death.
But here is the catch: Eun-hyuk did not know that Seol-ah had traced both her father and the detective down and was listening to all their conversation. At the climax of the suspense, Eun-hyuk chooses to kill Woo-seok because, as he believed, Seol-ah would be in danger of being hurt by this man someday. However, just as he shoots, Seol-ah runs in and gets shot instead of Woo-seok.
Seol-ah is quickly taken to the hospital, where, luckily enough, she pulls through the operation. The police are not long behind him in catching Eun-hyuk, and he is arrested by the police after his crime. Still, even while being in police custody, he does not confess because he truly believes what he has done is justifiable. It is not until he finds out that Seol-ah is willing to lie and take all the blame for the murders that he breaks down. In order not to burden her with the consequences of what he has done, he confesses and reveals everything about himself.

Did Han Seol-ah Really Kill Her Parents?
No, Seol-ah never murdered her parents, even though she genuinely believed she had for her entire life. What she had said before was born out of pain, guilt, and the misunderstanding of what really took place during that night. At that time, when Seol-ah was still very young, she found herself in an impossible predicament where she returned to her home only to find her parents in the process of trying to end their lives.
She bore the heavy weight on herself, and it was her fault that they died because she survived when they did not. However, this is the most tragic part about the whole situation. In the ending of Siren’s Kiss, we discovered that, in fact, Eun-hyuk is the person who actually arranged the death of his family because of the money that he can get from their insurance.
After arriving there and seeing how everything happened, Eun-hyuk arranged their deaths to be absolutely sure that Seol-ah would survive, while all other members of her family would burn to death. She was freed of all false accusations that were put upon her shoulders, but she lost the last person she could have trusted in this world.

What Happened to Do Eun-hyuk at the End of Siren’s Kiss?
In Eun-hyuk’s case, love and control were one and the same thing. He does not show any signs of regret when his crimes come to light; on the contrary, he holds on to the conviction that all the things he had done were justified because they were for her own good. But then, he starts feeling the weight of his conscience when he discovers that Seol-ah is ready to shoulder the burden for his sins. This becomes a turning point in his life because he realises that he has been hurting her all along with his misguided intentions of protecting her from any danger. Ultimately, he confesses to the killings he has committed.
In spite of all of this, Eun-hyuk is unable to confront the repercussions of his actions as well as the fact that he is now completely rejected by Seol-ah. Lacking anything else to cling to, such as some form of justification or even any sort of link between himself and the girl he was obsessed with, he opts for the more drastic solution of killing himself.

Did Han Seol-ah and Cha Woo-seok Get a Happy Ending?
Indeed, Seol-ah and Woo-seok achieve happiness in the end of Siren’s Kiss. Despite all the mistrust, risks, heartaches, and even life-threatening circumstances that the two have been through, it finally becomes possible for them to be sincere toward each other. Their love story begins as one filled with mutual distrust but gradually becomes one of pure trust.
Following the end of the revelations, Woo-seok stays close to Seol-ah as she heals from her physical and emotional injuries. Unlike their previous connections, which were based on keeping secrets and solving mysteries, this connection is based on a mutual decision to look ahead. When he proposes that they begin an actual relationship, Seol-ah accepts his proposal, showing that she is now willing to love without hesitation.

Siren’s Kiss ends on a positive note, where they live a more fulfilling life in the years to come. Seol-ah discards her old life, even leaving her job at the auction house, and moves toward a healthier direction, one that involves healing. Together, they also reach out to those around them, organising programs for traumatised children based on their experiences. While Woo-seok has always been consistent in his love, he takes things further by bringing a ring.
However, Seol-ah’s reaction demonstrates her own development as an individual. Although she considers the proposal seriously, she still pauses rather than accepting his proposal immediately, not out of distrust, but out of her need to discover herself anew before embracing anything else.

She reveals her aspirations to travel to another country to pursue a career in art, which is related to her childhood and her father, but acknowledges that she is unsure of how long it will take her. For once, she prioritises herself while still maintaining some connection with love. But, surprisingly, Woo-seok does not back away either. He silently places the ring on her hand despite not demanding anything from her. This is a declaration that he will wait for her and support her wherever she may go.
