The 2025 Golden Disc Awards winners Day 2 have been announced, wrapping up the two-day celebration of K-pop’s finest talents. Conducted at the Mizuo PayPay Dome in Fukuoka, Japan on January 5, 2025, the second day of the 39th Golden Disc Awards (39th 골든 디스크 시상식) was devoted to the recognition of the Album Division, dedicated to physical albums.
Coming to the second day, the audience waited for bright and interesting shows, as well as deserved victories. As talented hosts Cha Eun-woo, Moon Ga-young, and Sung Si-kyung who has been hosting the front stage returned, the evening as always was a starry night.
The audiences had a essence throwback in day 2 when seven members of GFriend performed together for the first time before their anniversary project album, Season of Memories. They were accompanied by some of the best-known faces of K-pop: the boy band SEVENTEEN, the boyband ENHYPEN, the girl group IVE, the boyband TXT, the boyband ZEROBASEONE (ZB1), NCT Wish, and others. Every performance come with fun, zeal and excitement and this made the fans hold their breath.
In light of the Jeju Air tragedy, the live broadcasts originally planned for January 4 and 5 were cancelled out of respect for the victims and their families. The awards were pre-recorded and will air on January 6 at midnight KST for Day 1 and January 7 at 1:20 AM KST for Day 2. This thoughtful decision ensured the ceremonies could proceed while honouring the national period of mourning.
