Agent Kim Reactivated Episode 5 Recap
Agent Kim Reactivated Episode 5 kicks off with a beautiful scene of Kim Do-hyeon’s life in the past before these recent happenings. Not long after he settles into his new area along with his little daughter, Min-ji decides to run out by herself. She gets locked in the welfare centre because she fell asleep there and is looking for her. Fortunately, the little girl comes back home alive, which leads Kim Do-hyeon to cry out in relief, as he knows she is everything in his world now.
The narrative soon shifts back to the present day when Kim realises that some very dangerous men associated with the kidnapping case are getting too close for comfort. With sheer ruthlessness, he cuts down all the gangsters and asks questions about the location of Min-ji. Meanwhile, Park Jin-cheol manages to break out of the madness, and Han-su joins him as the duo prepares for yet another adventure. All their routes ultimately converge at one place—the port where Min-ji struggles for survival.

Min-ji does not cooperate with the criminals while she is being kept inside the cold storage building, in spite of the threats made to her. Min-ji uses her intelligence to escape and lock one of her captors inside the cold storage area. Meanwhile, Kim is confronted by the new holder of the title Code 66. The fight that ensues between the two men takes on an extra meaning, as Kim’s younger opponent blames him for the death of his older brother.
This clash segues into a very poignant memory that reveals the whole story of what actually happened back then. Kim and the original Code 66 were friends and partners who had full trust in one another while working on a life-threatening mission. However, when things took a turn for the worse and the older 66 was mortally wounded, Kim did his best to try to save him. The dying man never blamed Kim but pleaded for his survival instead.

Despite knowing the truth, Kim does not have the luxury of being haunted by the past since Min-ji is still missing. She keeps on walking around the port even under the heavy rain, thinking that listening to her father’s voice is just all in her mind. Kim finds an apology letter that she left for her father, making the whole ordeal even more emotional. Episode 5 of Agent Kim Reactivated ends on a shocker as several parties try to find her first, Min-ji unknowingly riding in the car of Ju Gang-chan.
Agent Kim Reactivated Episode 6 Recap
Episode 6 of Agent Kim Reactivated starts with yet another flashback, this time sending the viewers back into the past when the three friends were tasked with guarding the daughter of the US President on her visit to Jeju Island. While all three characters have a similar goal in mind, their personalities always seem to collide, foreshadowing their future complex relationship.

Moving back to the present, Min-ji reaches Ju Gang-chan’s mountaintop residence after having travelled through the night. Tired and fearful, she continues asking for an audience with her father, but Gang-chan denies each of these requests. Instead, he tries to influence the situation for his own benefit by trying to change the narrative. However, before he can do that completely, officials raid his premises.
This leads to Min-ji’s shifting from one group to another, with all the different factions struggling for control of the scene. Kim and Han-su follow up on every possible clue and watch the entire estate from an outsider’s perspective. Even when Min-ji gets rescued from Ju’s men for a little while, she is captured as a hostage again when Mole Cricket and the SMD agents seize her custody. The plan is not to treat Min-ji as a victim but rather to use her as a lure.

The scene then moves to the SMD headquarters, which is heavily protected in preparation for Kim’s arrival. Han-su enters the place, employing clever strategies that help him enter the compound unnoticed and then meet up with Min-ji. In the meantime, Mole Cricket interrogates the terrified teenage girl regarding her father and their secret past in order to discover details that can bring Kim down.
After Han-su rescues Min-ji through a meticulously crafted plan that involves turning off the electricity, it appears that everything goes south very quickly after that. This time, Jin-cheol accompanies Han-su in order to rescue Min-ji, but when they realise that the guns they have brought along are loaded with blanks, it becomes clear that the three of them are cornered by the agents with real guns.

However, before anyone knows what is going on, Kim bursts into the SMD headquarters and suddenly changes the course of events by taking the Vice Minister hostage. Tying the sharp wire tightly around the neck of the Vice Minister and making sure that the latter starts bleeding from it, Kim sends a clear message that he is not bluffing anymore. At the end of Agent Kim Reactivated Episode 6, when everyone holds their breaths, Kim looks directly into the eyes of Min-ji and says, “It’s time to go home.”
Agent Kim Reactivated Episode 5-6 Review
It is just outstanding what Agent Kim did during this week’s episode of Agent Kim Reactivated kdrama. Right from the tough battle between Kim and the new Code 66 to Han-su infiltrating the SMD headquarters, all sequences feel like well-thought-out ones. Therefore, it is easy for Ji-sub to carry the story in style as he changes between being a grieving father and an agent on duty flawlessly. Seo Su-min as Min-ji does not disappoint at all, as she proves that Min-ji is not helpless at all and is always searching for a way out.

Choi Dae-hoon was equally interesting playing the role of Han-su. It was amusing how he broke into the highly protected headquarters of the SMD company, turned off the power, and took a risk to save Min-ji. I was very interested in his adventure since any step could turn against him.
As usual, Yoon Kyung-ho takes control of each scene he is involved in. Regardless of the gravity of the situation, he somehow finds a way to keep me smiling at all times. The scene of Jin-cheol becoming scared upon suddenly encountering his wife was so funny that just the look on his face was enough to ease the tension. And then just when I am sure he is going to come with his guns blazing, he realises the guns are not even live ammunition.

The conclusion brings us back to where the suspense in this drama is at its peak ever. Finally, Kim gets to see Min-ji alive, but even then, both of them find themselves surrounded by their adversaries, proving to us that the peril has not come to an end yet. Considering that now we know more about the mystery surrounding Kim’s past, and the struggle he is waging against his formidable adversaries continues to grow, I truly believe that this drama warrants all the record-breaking feats that it’s achieving.
