How Did Pasin and Brother Die?
Pasin really did not betray. It was only because Kusanagi captured him in Thailand and threatened his son, Atti, that Pasin betrayed Jin-man and the Murthehelp organisation. Kusanagi’s group tortured him and even installed a tracker inside his body before releasing him in South Korea. Her plan was to have him infiltrate Murthehelp and have access to their system, which would help Babylon locate all the people involved in Jin-man’s business. Hence, Pasin was left with no other alternative than to work when he entered into Murthehelp’s organisation.
At first, he worked in collaboration with Jin-man, but then he uploaded something that enabled Babylon hackers to have access to the system. He even attacked Ji-an and shot Brother in the leg to restrain them so that Babylon could have control of the place. But actually, he was searching for an opportunity to help everyone after Jin-man rescued Atti. In A Shop for Killers Season 2 episode 7, Jin-man called him and informed him that he was having his son, effectively turning the situation around and giving Pasin a chance to save Ji-an.
With this, Pasin freed Ji-an and Brother’s hands from the tie to help them escape since he knew that Q and her group were near. He remained back at the emergency tunnel to buy them some time. In the fight with L, he killed him, but he was already severely injured because of the gunshots. He did not want Q and her team to get hold of Ji-an, so he pulled the pin of his grenade and died, taking down a few of his killers with him.
For his part, Brother helped Ji-an escape from the emergency tunnel. Q shot him, and though she wanted Ji-an to believe that she killed him, Brother was already dying. He pushed Ji-an into the next area of the tunnel before sealing off the gate behind him and dying. His death was therefore part of the sacrifice that allowed Ji-an to survive.
Did Seong-beom Join Kusanagi?
No, Seong-beom did not actually go into Kusanagi. The ending makes it seem like he could have been betraying Ji-an and Jin-man due to Kusanagi making him an offer. She had offered him weapons for the Code Reds and even offered him money if he could help capture either Jin-man or Ji-an for Babylon. Afterwards, Seong-beom shows up to Ji-an when she escaped the burning Murthehelp passage. This just makes the whole thing look even more shady. But in actuality, this is all part of the overall ruse that Kusanagi went through in order to find the Code Reds.
On the other hand, Seong-beom remains loyal to Ji-an and all those associated with Jin-man. As he says, he had a debt of gratitude towards Ji-an since he had previously failed to honour his pledge to safeguard her. In this way, he manages to assemble all the Code Reds and announces that he will be responsible for protecting the Code Greens. The significance of Seong-beom lies in the fact that the Code Reds actually become a means through which a fake path is laid down, leading Babylon in the wrong direction. It is only Seong-beom, along with his people, who accompany Ji-an and Jin-man inside Babylon.
Did Q Discover Who Killed Her Brother J? What Did She Do After Finding Out?
Indeed, it is later discovered that Jin-man was not the person responsible for J’s murder. Kusanagi had orchestrated the whole situation where she showed Q some clips from J’s camera that made her believe that Jin-man had killed her brother. She went on to send his body back to Japan, and at the same time told Q to blame Jin-man for the murder. Q consequently spent most of the season hunting Jin-man down to avenge her brother’s death. Q did not know that she had been manipulated into believing so by Kusanagi.
The truth is discovered when Q finally confronts Jin-man, and he reveals the truth about the footage of J’s murder to her. At the same time, Q discovers evidence related to the bus explosion and the video where Kusanagi admits to hiding the fact that Bale had murdered J. After understanding what truly transpired, Q no longer opposes Jin-man and ceases her mission of revenge for Kusanagi. Rather than continuing to follow through on Kusanagi’s plan, Q withdraws from the situation. Jin-man also makes her realise the bond that they once forged a number of years back, when they met in the hostage rescue mission.
Q informs him that their meeting for drinks will again have to be postponed, and reveals her real name, Ichika, before giving Jin-man a device which assists him in escaping from his cell in jail. In the ending of A Shop for Killers Season 2, we see that after Q survives the attack on Code Reds along with the rest of her team, she simply informs Marco and M that they need to return home. This choice is important as Q finally withdraws from Kusanagi, who has used her grief against her.
How Did Ji-an and Jin-man Take Down Babylon?
Since the duo realised that it would not be possible for them to defeat Babylon by battling its assassins one at a time, they chose to fight back using the same tracking technology that the company used. In A Shop for Killers Season 2 episode 8, first, they let Jin-man be captured since Babylon could easily obtain all the biometric data necessary from him to gain access to Murthehelp’s system. This allowed them to locate the various Code networks since they believed that they were now in full control of the entire system. Kusanagi then instructed her people to track the Code Reds and kill those who were not loyal to Seong-beom. However, this was not the endgame.
As Babylon followed the data they had obtained, Ji-an and the rest of the group unplugged their trackers and implanted them into toy cars before going on to leave the real hideout. On the other hand, Ji-an made use of Murthehelp’s knowledge to turn against Babylon. She put up a hefty bounty for the capture of Kusanagi while exposing the involvement of Kusanagi in the bus bombing as well as her attempts to pin the blame on Jin-man for the death of J.

What Happened to Kusanagi in the End of A Shop for Killers Season 2?
At the end of A Shop for Killers Season 2, Kusanagi is left with nothing after her plot to control Murthehelp results in Babylon turning on her. She has been plotting for her personal gain all along, especially controlling Murthehelp and its market, contrary to the orders given by Babylon. Her efforts to conceal the murder of J by pinning it on Jin-man, as well as the destruction of the Babylon employees’ bus, and manipulating Q come to light.
Ji-an takes care to give the evidence to the Code Reds, and Attorney Jang gets the evidence as well and realises that the other Babylon staff members need to be informed of what Kusanagi has done. With the increasing spread of evidence, Kusanagi finds that people around her no longer support her. Even the Babylon superiors consider her activities beyond the limits and order K to come back to the headquarters.
Kusanagi is almost alone when Ji-an and others come into the Babylon compound. After some time, she finally meets Chen and tells him angrily that he deserted her despite all she did for Babylon. It is evident that all the things that Kusanagi did were driven by her ambitions and not loyalty to the organisation. When Kusanagi tries to shoot one of the others during the confrontation, Ji-an takes the initiative to shoot her in the head. This marks the end of Kusanagi’s manipulation and her attempt to destroy Jin-man’s group. The sad part is that Kusanagi spends the whole season manipulating other people, yet ends up losing everything, including her life, because of her manipulations.
Will There Be A Shop for Killers Season 3?
There hasn’t been any official announcement of Season 3 of A Shop for Killers up until now. At the end of Season 2, the plot gets wrapped up in such a way that the protagonists’ fight comes to a conclusion instead of them remaining trapped in an unfinished battle. Kusanagi is killed off, any immediate attack from Babylon is prevented, and Chen agrees to a ceasefire with Jin-man. The Murthehelp group moves away from the Babylon compound and blows up the facility. Finally, Jin-man asks Ji-an about her plans for the future, and she smiles in response, leaving her future open.
That ending of A Shop for Killers 2 does, however, leave enough space for another season in case Disney+ and the creators are interested in continuing the storyline. First of all, Babylon hasn’t been completely destroyed because Chen still stays in power and warns about breaking the ceasefire in case of leaking Murthehelp’s information. At the same time, Ji-an has already completely entered the world which was protected by Jin-man. The remaining story of Q, Seong-beom, the Code Red group, and the rest of Murthehelp’s members can also be developed in future seasons. Still, let’s not assume anything, but hope that they continue.
A Shop for Killers Season 2 Episode 7-8 Review
A Shop for Killers Season 2 Episode 7 kicked off on a high note. It was dark, edgy, and had me thoroughly invested given what Pasin and Brother went through. The buildup of suspense was just too much to take, and I expected the finale to explode into action.
But honestly, A Shop for Killers 2 Episode 8 was a bit of a letdown for me. Particularly Q. With all the effort spent on making her so angry and convincing us that once she realised Kusanagi was responsible for J’s death, she was going to snap and take revenge in the most dramatic way possible, I kind of expected her vengeance to be more dramatic. Furthermore, Kusanagi’s death seemed far too simple after all her efforts. I was hoping for a much more epic confrontation between the two characters. The finale was decent enough, but definitely a disappointment compared to the great season.
