Why Did Friedrich Kill Sean’s Father?

The Seven Demons were employed to murder Jackie Price by a man named Sean Harper, who was known as “The Yank.” Unfortunately, things get complicated for them when Sean Junior’s rich father finds out about the deal that Sean Junior had made. Appalled by his son’s decision to employ an organisation of highly skilled assassins, Sean Senior decided to disown his son by cutting him off from his source of wealth. It becomes very problematic for the Seven Demons because the assassination of Jackie Price is contingent upon all the money that Sean is willing to pay them.

Therefore, Friedrich makes it his duty to kill Sean’s father to ensure that the money backing up their contract does not go to waste. His actions do not mean that he wanted to kill yet another individual; rather, his actions are geared toward ensuring that he still maintains the deal and that things remain under control within the Seven Demons who are becoming increasingly difficult. He gets rid of Sean Senior to ensure that their contract remains financially safe so that the search for Jackie continues. It is only at this point that Sean realises what a big mistake he has made.

Why Did the Doc Betray Friedrich?

Doc rebels against Friedrich because, at some point, she understands that continuing her obedience to him would just mean more people dying, while Friedrich does not want to quit. The thing is that Doc and Friedrich share some background other than being members of the Seven Demons because they used to be a couple. Moreover, they have had some kind of controlling relationship, and Doc has got to the stage where she feels trapped in it and does not want it anymore. When Jackie starts killing off all members of Seven Demons, Doc understands that they are losing and offers to back off from the war, but Friedrich does not agree.

That means that Doc is faced with the choice either to keep following Friedrich into an almost inevitable death or find some other way to stay alive. In the end, she chooses to be on Jackie’s side not only because she considers that Jackie’s side will survive but also due to the feelings that she had developed towards her.
