Okay, let’s talk about the G-Dragon Too Bad MV because wow, what a comeback! The BIGBANG member is finally back with his 3rd solo album, Übermensch, and I couldn’t be happier. Honestly, this comeback reminds everyone why GD is such an icon in K-pop. He’s one of the pillars of the industry, and with this release on February 25, he’s just showing us all how it’s done. Plus, this MV features Anderson .Paak, aespa’s Karina, and Bada Lee—like, could it get any better?
From the moment the MV started, I felt that G-Dragon was making music that truly made him happy. He seems healthy, joyful, and you can tell he’s doing this because he loves it. It’s so refreshing to see! After the tracks he gave us last year, like POWER and Home Sweet Home, which even brought BIGBANG back together, this album feels like another mind-blowing gift.
G-Dragon Too Bad MV feat. Anderson .Paak Review
The first thing I need to say is that Too Bad by G-Dragon and Anderson .Paak is so a vibe. It’s got that fun, party-song vibe that G-Dragon’s famous for. The beats are rhythmic, the sets are colorful, and the lyrics are really playful. I couldn’t help but grin while watching the MV because the vibe is simply infectious. It’s one of those songs that you play over and over on repeat without you even noticing that you’ve been looping it for the fifth time already.

But here’s the interesting part, the song might sound all fun and upbeat, but the lyrics hint at something deeper. The chorus lines, “Baby girl, too bad for me” and “Break me off passionately”, suggest a toxic relationship. It’s light-hearted on the surface, but if you listen closely, G-Dragon is talking about being obsessed with someone you know you shouldn’t be with. I love how he manages to sneak in deeper meanings even in a song that feels like a total bop. Classic GD!
Now, about the visuals. The MV is chaotic in the best way possible. G-Dragon and Anderson .Paak bring such infectious energy. The sets are wild, the outfits are eccentric (I mean, would it even be a GD MV without some iconic fashion moments?), and the entire vibe screams fun.

Seeing aespa’s Karina was such a sweet surprise! Her dance moment with GD was so cute. Honestly, I wished she would have had a bigger role or even some lines in the song. Her moment was so brief—it was a tease for something bigger. Bada Lee did not disappoint with her killing moves either. I mean, Bada never disappoints, and this was not an exception.

But I must be honest for a second. Did anyone else feel like there was not enough G-Dragon in the song? It kind of felt like Anderson.Paak was the main focus at times. Don’t get me wrong—Anderson was great—but this is a G-Dragon song, and I wanted to see more of GD’s special energy throughout. That being said, the song in general was so much fun. I was smiling like a goofball the whole time.

But here’s my biggest gripe—it’s not long enough! Like for real, I wanted like two minutes more or so. I needed more GD and Anderson verses that weren’t repeats of the hook. Nowadays it’s like every song is under three minutes, and it’s driving me crazy. I mean, when you’ve got a collab this close, why not give us some more?
In spite of that, the song is an absolute banger. It’s catchy, smooth, and I know it’s going to be hits. The production is of the highest level, and the chemistry between G-Dragon and Anderson .Paak is unshakeable. It’s groovy, it’s playful, and it just gets you in a good mood right away.

In the end, G-Dragon 3rd album Übermensch is going to be something special, and Too Bad is proof. It’s energetic, fun to listen to, and reminds us why GD remains on top of his game. The combination of GD’s eccentric artistry and Anderson.Paak’s funky energies is gold.
This is only a glimpse of what G-Dragon 3rd solo album is. His return is everything I could have ever hoped for and more. He still has it, and for real, he never lost it.
